1. 부정대명사 of the 명사
all, most, some. any 뒤에는 복수명사 혹은 불가산(uncountable)이 와야 한다.
그러므로 단수 일때에는 이 명사가 불가산 명사인지 확인할 것.
many, several, both, each, one + of the 복수 명사
이 뒤에는 단수명사가 올 수 없고, 무조건 복수 명사가 와야 한다. 그러므로 가산명사의 복수명사꼴만 올 수 있다.
much는 불가산명사에서만 사용한다.
one / another / some / others / the other / the others
1. the other : 특정한 다른 것
2. another : 불특정한 또 하나의 것
3. one, the other : (둘 중에서) 하나는, 나머지 하나는
4. one, another, the other (셋 중에서) 하나는, 다른 하나는, 나머지는
5. one, the others : (셋 이상에서) 하나는, 나머지 전부는
6. one, another : (셋 이상에서) 하나는, 또 다른 하나는
3개[사람]를 하나[한 사람]씩 말할 때는, "one, another, the third[the other]" 또는 "one, another, another"라고 함. 4개 이상인 경우는, "one, another, a third, a fourth, a fifth, ‥"로, 마지막 하나를 the other로 표현함. 열거를 하다가 나머지를 일괄하여 나타낼 때는 "one, another, a third, the others"가 됨.
